The "Chuck Nut" is a post-installed nut that can be tightened with a standard nut without processing the deformed rebar. Traditionally, to fasten deformed rebar with separate components, it was common to thread the rebar and tighten it with a nut. This product features a metal component shaped like a semicylinder (a cylinder split vertically in half) with evenly spaced protrusions on the inner circumference and threads on the outer circumference.
